think only on things which are good and pure, perfect, lovely, and of good report

I think only on things which are good and pure, perfect, lovely, and of good report, and I let no corrupt communication proceed out of my mouth.

(Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things).

In today’s video study we are reminded that our thinking is the key to our feelings and our actions. Philippians 4:8 encourages us to think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, good report, things that are full of virtue and things that are praise worthy.

In this written study we are going to look at how our thinking is the beginning of everything. The Bible has the cure for every problem of man. The things that create right feelings and right actions are found in the Bible.

Real change starts with your thinking and speaking.

Philippians 4:3-8 (The Message Bible) gives us the spiritual recipe on creating a fertile mind that will always yield fruit that is praiseworthy.

Celebrate God all day, every day.
Don’t fret or worry.
Instead of worrying, pray.
Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers
You’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling and gracious – BE GRATEFUL
Think on the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.”
Remember that Jesus came to give us life (ZOE, the God kind of Life) and life more abundantly. (John 10:10). Celebrate Jesus everyday. He is the way, the truth, and the life. Think on Him. Think on the truth and things that are true. You don’t get consumed things that fill the mind with worry when your mind is filled with truth. Focus on LIFE. LIFE is more important than living!
